Luxury car manufacturers have been shifting towards rebranding their car logos in recent days to current. It started with Jaguar when they revealed it’s new era branding for the Type 00 Concept. Now JLR has revealed a new logo for the Range Rover brand but won’t appear on Defender and Discovery.
It first appeared in a recent presentation to investors at the Milan design week. This emblem feutures a pair of mirrored R shown on top of an archway and it appears in gold color carrying an elegant look. Unveiled too with the logo, is the Range Rover pattern consisting of plenty of interlocking Rs. JLR hasn’t yet announced where the the pattern will be used for, but the grill or some interior upholstery may benefit from it.
In a Conversation with Autocar, JLR said that the new badge won’t replace the “Range Rover” script badging found on the front and rear as it will still remain on cars.
“The Range Rover Motif has been developed as a smaller symbol for where our familiar Range Rover device mark does not fit, such as on a label or as part of a repeating pattern, and within event spaces where an emblem is more appropriate,” the JLR spokesperson confirmed to various sources.
It may appear on the Range Rover electric luxury SUV that may get launch in near future.
